Continuing Education

Monthly Meetings are regular local gatherings for Ramsey County Master Gardeners. Often a guest lecturer is invited to teach on a topic of expertise. The lecture topics are selected by the Education Chairs from the RCMG Board of Directors. Monthly meetings count as 2 hours of Continuing Education if the whole video is watched; it is worth 1 hour of only the guest lecture is watched.

Local Train-the-Trainer events include presentations from the Speakers Bureau. Train-the-Trainer events count as Continuing Education hours.

The State Leadership team provides a number of learning opportunities for many topics. Go through the material at your own pace and enter the time needed as continuing education.

4. Special Workshops

Special workshop events include presentations from guest lectures from experts in their fields. These special events count as Continuing Education hours.

As a Master Gardener Volunteer, you will receive regular newsletters with information that will help you as a volunteer. The time spent reading the newsletters can be counted towards as 1 hour of Continuing Education per month. If you do not receive the newsletters, check your spam, junk or promotion folders. To prevent these newsletters from going to the spam, junk or trash folders, add the sender to your contacts list.
