Summary for the March RCMG Board of Directors Meeting
The RCMG Board Meeting was held on March 14, 2023 via Zoom. The next Board Meeting is scheduled for April 11, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on Zoom. These meetings are open to all volunteers.
RCMG 2022 Financial Audit (Diana Rankin)
Diana Rankin, RCMG volunteer, provided highlights of the recent audit, which she will share at the member meeting on the 21st.
Education Committee Update
Jane Carlstrom and Simba Blood will test out our “snacks at in-person meetings” effort this March and April. Coffee (both decaf and “high test”) will be served along with hot water for tea. There will also be some purchased treats. Reminder—please bring your own coffee/tea cup to the meeting!
The social hour runs from 6:00 to 6:30. A minor change to the schedule was approved, moving the member (business) meeting ahead of the speaker. Unfortunately, we lose attendance with the current arrangement when this happens at the end. The speaker(s) will begin PROMPTLY at 7:15 and questions will be limited in the interest of getting out at a reasonable time!
New Member Committee Update
Karen Randall reported that all the intern/mentor teams have met and are moving forward with their training.
She provided a draft flow chart of our organizational structure which will be shared at the Volunteer Project Fair at the end of March. There will be a table that will include job descriptions for the various RCMG leadership roles. Members of this committee will be available to answer questions about taking on a Board position or a committee chair spot for 2024.
Communications Committee Update
Nanette Boudreau shared that the Communications Committee will staff a table at the Volunteer Project Fair and hope to recruit additional volunteers for this very active committee.
Plant Sale Committee Update
Nanette reported that she is assisting Brianna in the creation of a spreadsheet which will detail the various plants sold at our annual sale, including cost and selling price, numbers, etc., which will be helpful for future planning.

Gretchen Hesli presented the February 2023 Board Meeting Minutes, which were approved.
Program Coordinator Update
Darren and Brianna are in the process of contacting Project Coordinators to determine whether they will continue to serve in their respective roles. We will be recruiting additional volunteers for a number of projects.
Thank you to Laurel Watt for joining Liz O’Toole as coordinator of the Yard Waste project.

Bylaw updates are in progress and nearing completion.
