Board Staffing Change

The nonprofit's Board of Directors Treasurer, Kristina Hughes, has stepped down from her role as of the end of May. On behalf of the Board, and I'm sure from all the membership, I would like to thank her for her months of service, particularly for all her hard work for the Plant Sale. She has worked tirelessly and her efforts were very much appreciated.

According to our Bylaws, in order to replace a Board director midterm, the Board must vote on a nominated replacement. We will go through that process once we have found a nominee, but due to the critical nature of the Treasurer's position, the many tasks for which that position is vital, and with the support of the Board, I have asked Kathy Passe to step in as Interim Treasurer. Kathy was treasurer for several years, with her term ending in 2024. We are very grateful to her for her willingness to take up the reins again.

Please note that there may be a delay in getting reimbursement checks during the transition period. Please give Kathy a couple of weeks to get up to speed. And thank you to everyone for your patience!

UPDATE 6/12/2025: The Board approved Kathy Passe as Treasurer at the meeting on Tuesday 6/10/2025. Kathy will serve on the Board of Directors in this role until the next Board election.
