The Blooming Saint Paul Showcase is a program that celebrates and encourages private efforts to enhance

Saint Paul through land stewardship, including gardens that improve and beautify the community and environment. It is a collaborative effort between the City of St. Paul Parks and Recreation, the department of Natural Resources, the St. Paul Garden Club, and the Ramsey County Master Gardener Volunteer Program since 2005.

The public is encouraged to nominate gardens online from mid-May through August 1 by searching Blooming St. Paul. City staff will lead 7 walks to nominate gardens in July and share photos and stories online from nominated gardens.

Master Gardener volunteers are needed to:

  • Join any of the city-led walks in July (Monday and Tuesday evenings) and answer participants’ horticulture questions (Find more details about this activity on SignUp Genius.)

  • Follow up on online nominations by visiting gardens, leaving information and taking photos in August (Watch for a sign-up coming in July.)

Please nominate individual gardens and encourage others to do so by using the Blooming St Paul Nomination Form.

If you have any questions, contact either of RCMG's Blooming St Paul project co-leads: Mary Montagne or Pam Baribeau.
