New Member Committee Update

Kay Wimer reported that an online Volunteer Fair for interns and their mentors is scheduled for March 22nd. Darren will introduce the projects, after which interns will have ten minutes per project in a breakout room to gather more information. Per Kay, “it’s kind of like speed dating!”

Treasurer Update

Kathy Passe, our Interim Treasurer, presented the February Monthly Transaction Report, which was approved.

Program Coordinator Update

Darren Lochner announced that Brianna Gohde will be joining the State Master Gardener Advisory Board. She will replace Frank Dolejsi, who is leaving the State Advisory Board when his term ends after the April 2022 meeting.

Prior to next week’s membership meeting Darren will present a mini-training course on using SignUp Genius (6:00 PM – 6:30 PM). Please consider attending for important information.

We are getting back on track with the Strategic Plan. Darren is working with Elisa Iha, who created a “roadmap” showing where we are and what remains to be done.

Board Chair Update

Our April meeting will include an awards ceremony. There will be no May meeting as we expect members to be busily involved with the Plant Sale! Our June meeting will be held both in-person at the Roseville Skating Center AND online at the same time. New technology has been purchased and tested and it appears to work well. Expect to sign up if you wish to attend in person, as there are space limitations.
